As Director, A&R, you'll be responsible for identifying new talent for consideration for signing to the Concord Records roster. Working with designated artist on the current roster to oversee recordings, remixes, managing recording budgets.

 

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

 

The Director Of A&R oversees working alongside the Label President to identify and sign talent to the label. Working to make sure all budgets are adhered to and that all production schedules and delivery dates are accomplished as directed by the label head and their plan for the year.

 

Outline Of Specific Functions:

  • Using research methods of data as well as personal relationships, identify potential talent to bring to the attention of the Label President for signing to the roster consideration.
  • Maintain updated data research methods and outreach to managers, attorneys, agents, promoters, publishers, and other industry executives to identify talent of interest.
  • Working with designated artists to oversee the recording of songs, ep’s, and albums.
    • Determining the best course of selection for producers, co-writers if needed, mixers, and mastering engineers for designated artists' recordings.
  • Work closely with the A&R Admin dept to manage budgets for recording projects for designated artists throughout the recording process until mastering completion.

 

Qualifications

What you’ll need:

  • Minimum 6 years in the music business, with experience and knowledge of how recording process works from an A&R point of view. Comfortable communicating directly with artists in a manner in which artist feels supported.
  • Knowledge of various reseach methods to identify artist of interest
  • Existing relationships in the music community of producers, writers, entertainment attorneys and artists managers.
  • A vision for potential successful artists.
  • Understands what makes talent desirable for consideration to signing to the roster.
  • Experience with all the elements that go into putting together a recording budget.

Salary Range: $100,000

 

*This job is hybrid- requiring 3 days a week minimum on site.
