Concord Theatricals is seeking a creative, detail-oriented individual with excellent writing and dramaturgical skills and an interest in theatre to join their team as Editorial Content Coordinator. This position assists the Director of Editorial Marketing with written and digital content on the company’s websites and editorial platforms. Working closely with the Director, the Coordinator will load, proof and edit website content, draft title descriptions and other text, and write articles, listicles and interviews related to theatre.

 

Responsibilities

What you'll do: 

  • Proof, edit and clean editorial content on the Concord Theatricals website
  • Draft new copy and descriptive text for catalog titles and categories
  • Aggregate and synthesize reviews, press coverage and promotional material
  • Update and edit author bios
  • Contribute to editorial strategy as it relates to our online platforms and website
  • Write and edit articles, interviews and other content for our online platforms
  • Provide administration support for the department, as needed

Outline of Specific Functions:

Editorial Strategy

  • Support the Director of Editorial Marketing in updating and maintaining our 18k+ title pages and 10K+ author pages
  • Draft and edit articles for our editorial platforms, Breaking Character and The Scene
  • Track and record all progress
  • Contribute to the strategy and planning of editorial content

 

Content Strategy

  • Develop engaging and creative ideas to promote titles and authors, alongside all other team members
  • Contribute to asset creation to support content strategy inititiaves
  • Support the scheduling and tagging of social media posts, as necessary

Department Support

  • Manage administrative tasks for the department as necessary
  • Communicate effectively with collaborators

 

Qualifications

What you'll need:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a relevant position (editing, publishing, dramaturgy, etc.)
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Strong grasp of dramaturgy and theatre analysis
  • Superior command of written English, including grammar, punctuation and spelling
  • Strong project management skills
  • Exemplary attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Power Point (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Self-motivation and openness to direction
  • Proven ability to work well with all levels of professionals in a collaborative environment

This is a temporary position with an expected duration of one year.

 

Salary Range: $50,000-$55,000

 

*This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days minimum on-site.
