As part of the Content & Repertoire team under A&R Operations and Label Services, you will create, review, update, and deliver label copy credits for digital and physical releases on Concord’s frontline record labels.

 

As the Content & Repertoire Coordinator, you'll be responsible for assisting the Manager and Associate of Content & Repertoire with creating, reviewing and editing label copy, music publishing research, metadata entry for digital and physical releases on the frontline labels, and proofreading copy for packaging.

 

 

Responsibilities

What you'll do:

  • Create ISRC codes and perform data entry of technical and label copy credits for each song in Concord’s OpenPlay repertoire system.
  • Proofread technical and label copy templates for physical and digital releases for frontline labels.
  • Researches and verifies songwriter/publisher information utilizing Harry Fox Agency and various performance rights society databases
  • Route credits and metadata, as directed, for approvals.
  • Clean up label copy as assigned (reformat in template to send to Editorial, noting any missing information), send back to Manager or Associate for review and to request any missing information.
  • Update any changes made to metadata & label copy post distribution
  • Assist in reviewing credits on preliminary and final album packaging artwork.
  • Transcribe, review, edit, and research lyrics for all new vocal recordings.
  • Archive final Technical and Label Copy and Lyrics in Open Play and in Concord’s Production Department archives.
  • Assist with any label copy updates post distribution and closing out open projects in OpenPlay
  • Manages Radio Promo Page by creating ISRCs for their edits and music uploads.
  • Additional duties assigned as needed

Qualifications

What you'll need:

  • Bachelors of Music Business/Management or related discipline or the equivalent combindation of education and experience.
  • Minimum 0-2 years prior experience at a record label and/or music publishing company preferred.
  • Good understanding of packaging requirements relating to credits, liner notes, label copy and digital service provider metadata standards preferred
  • Copy editing and proofreading skills preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 suite, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat Reader
  • Proficient internet research skills
  • Outstanding organizational ability and attention to detail required
  • Excellent communication, follow-through and time management skills for heavy work volume
  • Must have the capacity to handle and prioritize multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be a team player who demonstrates professionalism and good judgment
  • Must have the ability to maintain grace under pressure especially as projects near completion and deadlines are approaching
  • Must be both proactive and reliable
  • Must have a positive attitude and be able to maintain positive working relationships within Concord, with Managers/Artists, and with a variety of people in the music industry.
  • Ability to keep confidential information in the strictest confidence

 

*This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days minimum on-site. Based in Nashville.
