Concord’s Licensing Team clears and licenses Concord’s sound recordings and compositions for use in films, commercials, television programs, video games and for all other audio-visual uses. As the Licensing Intern, you will gain a broad introduction to the administrative aspects connected with synch licensing including researching rights and approvals, negotiating licensing terms, and drafting and redlining license agreements. 

 

Our paid internship program will give you a unique opportunity to enhance your professional skillset, increase your knowledge of the industry, and expand your network. Our goal is to help you develop your talents as well as receive dedicated mentorship and support. Our summer Internship Program will run from Tuesday, June 3rd – Friday, August 15th and allows interns to work up to a maximum of 20 hours per week. This internship is a paid in-person opportunity and requires the ability to work in the specified office location. 

Responsibilities

What you'll do: 

  • Research rights and approvals 
  • Review recording agreements for approval restrictions for Top 100 artists 
  • Communicate with clients regarding pending quotes and project status 
  • Update licensing templates with Contract Admin team and code into Salesforce 
  • Collaborate with Business & Legal Affairs department 
  • Receive mentoring and support from supervisor throughout the semester 
  • Attend weekly educational programming to gain deeper understanding of various Concord departments 

Qualifications

What you'll need: 

  • Interest in contracts agreements and licensing administration 
  • Familiarity with Concord’s catalog 
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills 
  • This internship is a part-time paid internship and requires someone located in/near Nashville 
  • The timeline of this internship programs runs from Tuesday, June 3rd  Friday, August 15th You must be able to work 20 hours/week.
