The Data Analytics & Research team supports Concord & the individual labels with analyzing and reporting on top data stories and creating automations & dashboards to best support our internal teams.

 

As the Data Analytics Intern, you'll learn how data & analytics function side-by-side with marketing, sales, digital & creative to develop best practices for our team.

 

Our paid internship program will give you a unique opportunity to enhance your professional skillset, increase your knowledge of the industry, and expand your network. Our goal is to help you develop your talents as well as receive dedicated mentorship and support. Our Spring Internship Program will run from Tuesday, January 21st – Friday, March 28th and allows interns to work up to a maximum of 20 hours per week. This internship is a paid in-person opportunity and requires the ability to work in the specified office location. 

Responsibilities

What you'll do: 

  • Support our internal data team & some key label streaming personal & executives
  • Develop an automated system for monitoring RIAA certifications
  • Begin building blocks of a predicative internal label model 
  • Discover, track, and analyze developing songs and artists using data-driven methods
  • Develop and update statistical models and metrics to aid in artist discovery, evaluation, and performance forecasting
  • Build and maintain automated reports, dashboards, and internal data applications
  • Use internal and external data sources to perform detailed research and analysis on Concord’s artists, releases, and marketplace trends
  • Continually drive to improve all processes and outputs of the data & insights team 

Qualifications

What you'll need: 

  • Strong analytic skillset. 
  • Knowledge of Python and SQL
  • Knowledge of statistics and probability
  • Ability to provide answers to loosely defined questions and provide actionable insights
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable relaying insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Can translate numerical findings into tangible recommendations
  • Team worker, can-do approach
  • Passion for music is essential
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is the rule
  • This internship is a part-time paid internship and requires someone located in/near Nashville. 
  • The timeline of this internship program runs from Tuesday, January 21st – Friday, March 28th. You must be able to work 20 hours/week.
