The Digital Marketing Manager, is responsible for the planning, execution and management of the social media platforms and channels and for Discos Musart and Fania Records.  Works under general supervision.

 

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

  • Support the Marketing/Project Management team to translate all marketing activities into comprehensive social and digital strategies, to drive music sales/streams, boost audience engagement, and extend our artists’ and label’s reach.
    • Proactively manage social media calendars for our label and artists, scheduling posts, and ensuring high-quality editorial execution.
    • Plan and create content assets for artist or label campaigns, including graphics, gifs, photography, videos, and copy.
  • Hands-on graphic design and copywriting skills are a must.
    • Thoroughly research each release, in order to understand that artist or title’s “whole story,” communicate legacy, reignite audiences, and extend reach.
    • Evaluate, recommend, and execute improvements for optimizing social and online strategies.
    • Build and maintain perennial online content calendars for artists and label - keeping track of recurrent content opportunities including artist birthdays, release anniversaries, cultural events, etc.
    • Track and organize digital/social marketing assets for the catalog division including online media kits, music, graphics, photos, videos, etc.
    • Create and maintain catalog streaming playlists at DSP’s and grow subscriber base.
    • Manage Youtube channel sliders and banners.
    • Build strong relationships with the company’s artists, project managers, affiliate labels, partners, and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications

What you’ll need:

  • Minimum two years’ music or entertainment experience required.
  • Fully Bilingual Spanish/English with knowledge of Mexican music culture required.
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about Mexican music culture (wide ranging genres and eras), creative marketing, and technology/digital trends required.
  • Expertise in Photoshop, WordPress, Shopify, HTML, and other creative software required.
  • Knowledgeable and immersed in all social media and streaming platforms including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Spotify, Snapchat, YouTube, Shazam, Amazon, Apple Music, Pandora, etc.
  • Knowledge of US Hispanic media landscape and Latin music online media outlets.
  • Experience growing and fostering audiences or communities.
  • Understanding of playlisting strategy and streaming analytics.
  • Strong teamwork skills, including adaptability, self- effectiveness, and the ability to establish quick relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage many tasks and projects at the same time, must be able to prioritize and follow through.
  • Goal and results oriented, to “move the needle”.
  • Strong attention to detail required.
  • Video editing software experience is a plus.

*This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days minimum on-site.
