As the Sr. Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, Recorded Music, you'll be responsible for assisting with the annual budget and forecast process for Concord Label Group.  This position is also responsible for managing project budgets and project budget to actual reports for assigned Label Groups, as well as managing the associated operating models for these labels.  Works under moderate supervision.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

 

Manage all project budgets for assigned labels

  • Review deal terms compared to Greenlight and request project number set up.
  • Load recording spend project budgets into NetSuite after Greenlight approval and project number setup.
  • Load all marketing/recording spend project budgets into NetSuite after Budget approval.

 

Assist annual Budget and Forecast process.

  • Assist with updating and consolidating operating models related to the annual Budget and Forecast process.

 

Budget/Greenlight meetings

  • Manage Budget templates for assigned divisions
  • Work in tandem with the other FP&A Manager to have familiarity with budgets/greenlights for that manager’s divisions.
  • Work in tandem with the other FP&A Manager to develop Greenlight / Budget agendas for distribution.
  • Work with assigned labels on Greenlights for assigned divisions
  • Provide actuals reports for Budget/Greenlight meetings.
  • Host / cohost weekly Greenlight and biweekly Budget meetings.

 

Ad-Hoc Reports

  • Provide ad-hoc reports related to the annual Budget / Forecast as requested.
  • Provide ad-hoc budget vs actual reporting as requested
  • Provide support for ad-hoc presentations for various departments (e.g., Business Affairs)

System Implementation

  • Assist with design and implementation of new Reporting system.
  • Update and transition existing models from Excel to new reporting system

 

Qualifications

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
  • At least five years financial planning and analysis experience, including working with complex models and creating board presentations
  • Strong Microsoft Excel ability.
  • Ability to work within different systems (e.g. Cognos, NetSuite) and be able to guide IT department to resolve issues and make necessary software  updates to achieve desired outcome
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity
  • Ability to analyze large sets of data and report findings.
  • Strong financial reporting experience and ability to present explanation of results
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to interact and coordinate activities with multiple people and departments
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to simultaneously work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Good judgement, particularly with respect to confidential matters

*This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days minimum on-site.
