As the Senior Accountant, you'll be responsible for overseeing recording and processing various accounting operations within the Finance department of the Company’s Corporate business unit.  This individual would be responsible for overseeing the accuracy of monthly operating expenses, preparing monthly expense allocations, reconciling and rolling forward balance sheet accounts and preparing monthly budget vs. actual reports for various department heads.  Additionally, this individual would assist in the monthly consolidation reporting, financial reporting related to credit facility requirements and annual Company-wide audits and any requested ad hoc reports.

Responsibilities

What you'll do:

 

  • Prepare account reconciliations
  • Prepare Corporate expense allocations for the various divisions
  • Prepare monthly operating expense reports for division heads and investigate variances
  • Assist Corporate Finance & Accounting Manager with the monthly financial statements
  • Assist Corporate Finance & Accounting Manager with the monthly and annual Corporate Financial Close
  • Assist with preparation of credit facility related reports
  • Assist with preparation of support schedules for annual financial audits
  • Other general accounting tasks

 

Outline of Specific Functions:

 

  • Perform reconciliations on various balance sheet accounts and research variances
  • Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts
  • Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Responsible for review of operating expenses and monthly reports
  • Responsible for posting monthly accruals

Qualifications

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting with a minimum of 3 years of experience
  • CPA or Master’s Degree preferred but not required
  • Strong GAAP and accounting knowledge – ability to assist in researching accounting issues
  • Excellent computer skills including using Excel to review and modify datasets and NetSuite experience a plus
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to interact and coordinate activities with multiple people and departments over multiple time zones and locations
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Excellent organizational and follow through skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to simultaneously work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • A professional, respectful, pleasant and friendly demeanor
  • Eagerness to embrace change and adapt skillset
  • Good judgment, particularly with respect to confidential matters

*This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days minimum on-site.
