Responsibilities

Position Purpose:

The Senior Manager, Revenue Accountant, based in TBD, has responsibility for preparing, reviewing, and analyzing group revenue numbers monthly. The primary objective is to provide first class financial reporting and analysis of group revenue numbers. The role will review royalty receipts and statements, analyze trends to accurately reflect the 606 accruals in each entity. The role will work closely with income tracking and finance.  The role would work under general supervision.   

 

What you’ll do:

  • Perform monthly review and updates to 606 royalty revenue accruals across all group companies.
  • Work closely with local finance team and income tracking to identify revenue trends by income type/source/catalogue/territory and use that information to formulate 606 accruals by entity.
  • Review, prepare analysis and commentary on variance to budget and forecast monthly. This should be split by entity/territory/income type/source of income/traditional or digital/show/title
  • Perform monthly margin analysis at the entity and consolidated level and provide analysis and commentary to explain deviations from budget or forecast.
  • Maintain detailed support for all accruals.
  • Involvement in preparation of annual revenue budgets.
  • Ensuring revenue is accounted for in accordance with accounting policies.
  • Develop, maintain financial models/applications to automate and streamline business processes and perform financial analysis.
  • Participate in ERP system/process implementation.
  • Prepare yearly audit documents and analysis for audit, and to provide support where necessary

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and manage a process from start to finish.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Qualified Chartered Accounts
  • NetSuite experience desirable.

*This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days minimum on-site.
