Position Purpose: Is responsible for the accounting operations, systems, and reporting for the North America division of Theatricals.

Responsibilities

What you'll do:

The Director of Finance is responsible for the maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk. They enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

 

Outline of Specific Functions:

  • Manage the Accounting Manager and assist the Accounting Manager in managing the US Theatricals Accounting team, as necessary
  • Ensure the month end close process runs efficiently and the team closes on time
  • Complete monthly Management Accounts for US Theatricals division
  • Complete monthly/quarterly/annual reporting and analysis, as necessary
  • Review Balance Sheet reconciliations and flag any potential issues to the VP of Finance immediately
  • Assist US Theatricals Accounting team with complex reconciliations and research, as necessary
  • Assist the VP of Finance in managing all accounting audits

Qualifications

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (or related Business field)
  • CPA license required (or in process of taking CPA exams)
  • At least 8 years of Accounting experience
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize a variety of projects in a busy department
  • Organized with the ability to show initiative, take responsibility, and follow through on projects
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Interest in Theatre preferred, but not required

 

*This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days minimum on-site.
