Responsibilities

Position Purpose:

This Temporary Coordinator position will provide support to our Copyright Licensing & Royalties team. The person in this role will secure mechanical and DPD licenses from HFA and certain publishers for releases spanning all of Concord’s record labels.  They will be responsible for creating and submitting bulk license requests to certain publishers and will create and submit split requests via MDX. They will also assist with royalty distribution tasks, such as royalty statement generation and review. Ad-hoc projects are to be expected, as will assistance fielding inquiries in the department’s general inbox.

 

 What you'll do:

  • Secure mechanical licenses from HFA and publishers that utilize licensing portals.
  • Create and submit split requests to publishers via MDX.
  • Research and confirm metadata and songwriter splits for Concord’s quarterly release schedules.
  • Compile and submit bulk license spreadsheets to participating publishers.
  • Assist with quarterly mechanical royalty distribution duties including generating publisher royalty statements.
  • Assist with cleanup of outstanding copyright licensing and royalty issues.
  • Assist with special projects on an as-needed basis.

 

Qualifications

What you need:

  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Basic algebra skills
  • Office and administrative experience
  • Must be proactive, detail-oriented and able to handle confidential materials
  • Must be a multi-tasking individual and be patient but diligent in resolving and completing projects
  • Must be able to prioritize projects with contractual obligations and get clarification when needed
  • Must be proactive in seeking out solutions to problems that may arise
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Must be a team player in the department and the company as a whole
  • Must be able to interact fluidly with all departments and all levels of employees
  • General agreement and acceptance of the Company’s core values
  • Experience with ASCAP, BMI, SESAC and HFA eMechanical databases a plus

*This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days minimum on-site.
