As the Human Resources Coordinator, you will provide HR operational and generalist administrative support for our Los Angeles Human Resources Team. In this role, you will support HR and Learning & Development initiatives, execute on day-to-day tasks, special projects and will provide the highest level of customer service for our employees through every stage of the employee lifecycle. This is a great role for an entry-level professional who is interested in a long-term career in Human Resources. 

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

  • Support HR Business Partners by answering and/or referring employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, employee perks, paid time off, and company policies and by providing general office support.
  • Assist with scheduling trainings and meeting set-ups for L&D Director  
  • Support L&D Director by attending professional development workshops, tracking meeting attendance, curating content for learning newsletters, and building strong relationships that foster a healthy learning environment.
  • Plan and implement logistics for meetings, employee events, learning and development experiences, roundtables, including room reservations and technology set-up.
  • Assist with administering ADP and other payroll and timekeeping for our employees
  • Assist with new hire process in Los Angeles, including conducting reference checks, background screenings, collating and filing important documents and sending out New Hire Notifications.
  • Assist with onboarding new hires, including collating materials, supporting managers with training initiatives and conducting onboarding orientation. Oversee the tracking and facilitation of check-in process with new hires and managers to track development and training efforts
  • Oversee employee personnel change requirement requests, as well as processing status forms
  • Assist with processing promotions, transfers, and various other activities
  • Provide on-site support during employee events
  • Assist with the Semi-Annual Performance Review Process
  • Assist with off-boarding, including conducting exit interviews and gathering other pertinent off-boarding documentation
  • Assist in administering Leaves of Absence and Workers’ Compensation claims
  • Run reports from HR systems
  • Additional assistance with projects as needed

Qualifications

What you need to succeed:

 

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, maintaining professionalism and diplomacy as the first point of contact for candidates and current employees as an embedded member of our business.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, Management or related degree preferred or some combination of relevant HR experience
  • Interest in both HR as well as the music business
  • 1 year of relevant HR Experience or some combination of internships
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive, team player who demonstrates good judgment
  • A "can do" customer service attitude
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work efficiently
  • Ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information
  • Knowledge and experience using advanced features of the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) 
  • Experience utilizing project management, HRIS, and ATS tools
  • Experience with ADP is a plus or some other payroll/HRIS system
  • General understanding of local and federal employment law such as FMLA, ADA and FLSA preferred

** This job is hybrid and requires 3 days a week on-site
